DHS West Students in grades 10-12 are invited to volunteer to help maintain the tower garden at the Danbury Library! The Tower Garden Project is an initiative that brings the wonders of gardening indoors. Using advanced vertical gardening techniques, we’re cultivating a lush, green space right here in the heart of the library.
Benefits:
- Hands-On STEM: Learn aeroponic vertical gardening, biology & sustainability – grow fresh food faster with less water!
- Community Impact: Interact with the public. Produce real veggies for Comida Food Pantry; earn service hours.
- Fun Workshops: Plant, maintain & harvest with experts like UCONN Master Gardeners.
- Resume Boost: Perfect for college apps & career pathways.
