3D Printing

The Danbury Library’s MakerLab is equipped with LulzBot TAZ Pro and Workhorse desktop 3D printers.

While the printers must be handled only by MakerLab personnel, patrons with an active Connecticut library card in good standing may submit an .stl file or Thingverse link to be printed.

Prints are available in a variety of colors and are readied in Cura.

Cost $2.00 per print job and $.50 per hour
Print Time 4 hour maximum
Pickup Within 7 days of completed print
Requests Limit 1 per day

Thingverse

Thingiverse is a design community for discovering, making, and sharing 3D printable things. In the spirit of maintaining an open platform, all designs are encouraged to be licensed under a Creative Commons license, meaning that anyone can use or alter any design.

Tinkercad is a free web app for 3D design, electronics, and coding.

Blender

Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.
