Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about the Maya Hero Twins: Hunahpu and Xbalanque. Known for their supreme wit, magic, and bravery, they journeyed into the underworld (Xibalba) to defeat the Lords of Death and became the Sun and Moon. We will watch a story called Popol Vuh, the oldest Maya myth, and then create a paper sun and moon paper craft to celebrate the twins.
This program is for elementary aged students (ages 6-12), but siblings are always welcome to join!
