Placing Holds

Danbury residents may request up to 10 items at a time. When items are ready for pickup, patrons will be notified by phone or by email depending upon their account preferences. Place a hold by logging into your library account or by calling the library.

Suggest a Purchase

For items published within the last year, Danbury residents may suggest an item for the library to purchase. Please note that the decision to purchase a library item is based on the Library’s materials selection policy.

We will make every effort to get the item to you as quickly as we can, however it may take some time before the item is available. If your suggested item is purchased, we will place a hold on it and call or email you to know when it is ready for pickup. All items are held for three (3) days.

If we decide not to purchase the item, we may try to get a copy for you via inter-library loan from another library.  If we do not purchase the item and it is not available through inter-library loan, we will notify you.

InterLibrary Loan

Due to a restructuring of the deliverIT CT service, we cannot accept interlibrary loan requests at this time. Interlibrary loan services are suspended until July 17th. We apologize for this inconvenience, but hope that this scheduled downtime will help us make improvements to provide you with faster, more reliable service.
