Teen Council

Teen Council is a special opportunity for motivated teen volunteers.

By joining Teen Council, you commit to attending meetings and using your energy and creativity to help the Junior Librarians.

There is no minimum hourly requirement for teen volunteers, but to be a Teen Council member you must commit to at least 20 volunteer hours.

Teen Council members accomplish a wide variety of tasks, from helping with the summer reading program to hosting games and creating displays. They also assist with program planning and advise the Teen Librarian about purchases for the library.

Membership is an opportunity to make new friends and have fun. It also looks great on your resume!

To get started, please make sure you have completed and submitted a volunteer interest form.

For more information, contact Deirdre Johnson at djohnson@danburylibrary.org. 203-797-4505 ext. 7716.

We meet in person on the Junior Floor. If you can’t make it in person, you can join us through Google Meet! Be sure to register to receive the meeting invitation!

Applications for new volunteers closes on July 1, 2024.
