Join us at the Danbury Library for a unique, hands-on lunar adventure!
In this special hour-long program, you’ll use NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) QuickMap on Chromebooks to explore detailed maps of the Moon—including every Apollo landing site.
• Introduction & Demo: Learn to navigate the LROC QuickMap and discover famous lunar features, including all Apollo landing sites.
• Explore & Discover: Search for key landmarks on your own or in groups using the QuickMap tool.
• Choose Your Lunar Legacy: Each registrant can select a favorite Apollo landing site to be 3D printed! MakerLab staff will help you submit your choice, and your custom lunar model will be ready for pick-up on a later date.
