El Día de Muertos is a joyous celebration of ancestors and loved ones who have passed away. It is celebrated on November first and second in some regions of Mexico and other parts of Latin America.
Join us on the Junior Floor to create the library’s community ofrenda! Learn about the different pieces of the ofrenda and how to make cempasúchil (marigolds) out of tissue paper. We encourage participants to bring a photo of a deceased loved one to add to the ofrenda. Everyone is welcome!
The ofrenda will be on display from October 23 – November 12.
