Rocks rock! They come in different shapes and colors, can help us understand how the Earth has changed over time, and are fun to find! People who enjoy hunting for rocks are called rockhounds. Are you a rockhound? Join Darcy each month as she explores parks and museums, learns about local geology, and uncovers interesting finds!
Please note: due to many of our local parks being state owned and land trusts, we encourage all rockhounds to take photos of their finds instead of removing rocks from the parks. A cell phone or other camera is useful for participation in this program.
