This summer, unleash your creativity at Studio 170 in the Danbury Library with our weekly “Test Drive” program with professor of music, Dr. Drake Andersen.
Open to ages 13 and up, this hands-on experience invites you to explore our state-of-the-art audio and video studios. Try out professional grade microphones, lights, and editing software as you learn the basics of recording and production in a friendly environment.
Dr. Drake Andersen is a composer and assistant professor of music at Central Connecticut State University, where he teaches courses in music technology, audio production, recording, and music composition. He has collaborated with preeminent contemporary artists and ensembles including Vicky Chow, Decoda, Contemporaneous, loadbang, and Jenny Lin. His music has been heard at venues throughout the United States and Europe including Symphony Space, (le) poisson rouge, New World Symphony Center, and the Park Avenue Armory.
