Skill Builders Club

Skill Builders Club is a four-week enrichment program for children going into grades 1-3 (ages 6-9) designed to build literacy and numeracy skills via stories, games, and hands-on activities taught by a certified teacher.

Four learning “themes” will span the eight sessions of the program including Storytelling and Problem Solving; Art, Geometry, and Patterns; Making Predictions/Reasoning; Brainteasers and Puzzles.

Each session will feature a read aloud, mini lesson, and then skill building games facilitated by teen volunteers. This program is designed to be an enjoyable way to get students back on track and ready for a new school year!

This project is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Connecticut State Library.

For ages 6-9. Registration required. Please plan to attend all 8 sessions. (Latecomers may join if space allows.)
