English Conversation for ESL Students

The English as a Second Language (ESL) course will build students’ fluency in daily English conversation. Topics will range from basic interpersonal skills (BICS) in a variety of social settings such as the supermarket, clothing store, movie theater, talking with their children’s teachers, and hospital/doctor’s office/clinic.

Participants must register for all 8 sessions. For adults 18+

The class will be led by Joshua Halsband who teaches English composition, literature, and ESL for a variety of colleges from Boston to New Rochelle in-person, online, and hybrid. He has been teaching since 1987 in the US, Spain, the former Soviet Union, and for 12 years in Japan.
