Egyptian Cat Printmaking

For this project, students will begin by sketching their design onto a foam plate and pressing the lines deeply to form an imprint. They will then apply paint to the foam and create a print on black paper.

Once the prints are complete, students will add a gold-painted border to frame their artwork.

As part of the lesson, we will also study ancient Egyptian art, including the role and symbolism of cats in Egyptian society.

Registration is required. Ages 7-12.
