Ready to make some movie magic? In this lively, hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own short film using pixilation: an animation style that turns you and everyday objects into the stars of the show! Think stop-motion, but with real people and real-world movement, filmed one photo at a time.
You’ll dream up a story, plan your shots, and bring it all to life, frame by frame, using your imagination (and maybe a few library props).
Get inspired by amazing creators like Aaronyooz (on Instagram) and classic animator Norman McLaren (Neighbours), then make your own awesome short film in the library’s studio.
By the end, you’ll have your own stop-motion masterpiece to show off; plus a new way to see the world around you!
FREE. For students in Grades 7 to 11. Registration is Required.
