Noah Webster is best known for writing the first American English Dictionary. However, like many early Americans, Noah Webster grew up on a farm.
In this program families will experience many of the chores and fun Noah Webster encountered growing up on his family’s farm in West Hartford, CT, such as carding wool and writing with quill & ink.
A short introductory presentation on Noah will be followed by live demonstrations of early American chores and games.
Using hands-on, inquiry-based learning, families will learn about a Connecticut icon and early American lifestyles.
Registration recommended but not required. Ages 7-12.
