The Civic Hub is a space within the Danbury Library with monthly rotating collections and activities showcasing issues relevant to the Danbury community. Topics include voting, immigration, housing instability, food security, income inequality, and environmental sustainability.
In partnership with local organizations and through related programming, the Civic Hub brings awareness to community issues, highlights approaches to civic engagement, and provides access to educational resources.
The Civic Hub is made possible in part by a Peggy Barber Tribute Grant from the American Library Association’s Public Programs Office.
January’s topic is “Income Inequality.” Visit the Civic Hub on the Main Floor of the library to learn more and be sure to join us for “Building Financial Confidence,” a special financial literacy talk led by Sarah Lynch, Family Loan Program Coordinator at Catholic Charities.
