Join EconEd for a fun, story-filled adventure that helps kids learn how to make smart money choices!
In this interactive session, participants will enjoy a lively Storytime with a twist — where they’ll listen to a short story about earning, spending, and saving money, and then jump in to make decisions for the main character along the way. Together, we’ll discuss how different choices can lead to different outcomes, helping kids understand the value of thoughtful financial decisions.
After storytime, participants will take part in the Wants vs. Needs Sorting Game, a hands-on activity where they’ll sort colorful cards or pictures (like toys, food, clothes, and video games) into “Wants” and “Needs.” Through teamwork and discussion, kids will learn the difference between what they want and what they truly need — a key first step in building good money habits.
And to help them start their saving journey right away, each child will receive a piggy bank to take home!
