Current sessions run until November 21, 2018. Through a generous grant from Vernon Library Supplies, the Library will be offering free English classes for speakers of other languages. Interested participants must register in person at the Danbury Library with Rodrigo when registration reopens. Class for beginners only.
Join us for an informal conversation group to practice and improve your English skills. Various topics will be discussed each week. Refreshments provided by the FRIENDS of the Danbury Library. Come to one or come to all! No registration, just come by!
ELLIS English Language Learning Program
Learn English at your own pace at the library. Our Language Center comes equipped with ELLIS, a computer program designed to provide individualized instruction to achieve basic English fluency. Visit the language center during an instructor-led session to register and learn how to use the program. Once registered, you can visit the language center during open library hours to access ELLIS or access the program online from home.
Pronunciator – Learn Online
Access Pronunciator from your computer or mobile device. Pronunciatior is a fun way to learn any of 80 languages with courses for all ages and levels. You can work through an entire course or pick out specific topics. Complete activities and quizzes, schedule a live conversation with a fluent speaker, or listen to music and movies in another language. One of the great things about Pronunciator is that you can learn any language, in virtually any other language.

Western Connecticut Regional Adult & Continuing Education
WERACE provide a full range of free adult education programs, including citizenship classes, GED preparation, and ESL instruction to adults who live in the towns of Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield.
