Celebrate the month long international Observe the Moon Night! Join us for an exciting hour-long program where we explore the moon using the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera’s (LROC) QuickMap tool on Chromebooks. We’ll start with a brief introduction and demonstration, showing you how to navigate the map and discover key lunar features.
Participants will then have the opportunity to explore the moon on their own or in groups, searching for notable landmarks like the Sea of Tranquility and Apollo landing sites. We’ll wrap up with a Q&A session and a chance to share your discoveries. Chromebooks will be provided, and all ages are welcome. Don’t miss this unique space adventure!
