Throughout Africa, people of many nations and cultures have made beautiful masks for hundreds of years. African American artists, such as Loïs Mailou Jones, have continued this tradition, creating beautiful works incorporating traditional Adinkra symbols to express spiritual truths.

Your kit contains a paper mask and a set of oil pastels, as well as information about Loïs Mailou Jones and Adinkra symbols.
