Learn about Día de Los Muertos, a traditional Mexican celebration that takes place each November. Listen to cultural stories and music, and draw a “sugar” skull.
Sugar skulls or calaveras are ornately decorated edible skulls that represent the dead.
In this project we will draw and decorate skulls using tin foil, markers and other materials.
Traditional Mexican pan dulce, a sweet bread, will be offered for participants to taste.
Free! Ages 7-11.
