"Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Read!"
For kids entering grades 1-8
June 22 - August 8, 2009
Let’s show Mayor Boughton that Danbury kids are
the best readers in the state of Connecticut!
Be sure to pick up a Live Green, Read Green brochure in the Junior Department, or
click here to print one out.
Complete the reading log with your name and
your own weekly reading goal. To be eligible for the Mayor’s Challenge, kids
entering grades 1-5 must set their goal to read at least 1 hour each week for
7 weeks, and for those kids entering grades 6-8 you must read at least 2 hours
each week for 7 weeks.
Once you have completed your reading each week, bring your log to
the library, and you’ll receive a special prize and a ticket for exciting
grand prizes. The drawings for the grand prizes will be held on
Tuesday, August 11.
Mayor Boughton will receive a list of those who successfully
complete his challenge, and each reader will receive an invitation
to join Mayor Boughton for an exclusive recognition
event in August!
Let’s get reading!
