Even people who don't know the name Harold Lloyd probably know this movie's iconic image of him dangling from the hand of a clock on a skyscraper. The movie is a wonderful example of two elements of Lloyd's successful comedy style: a story of a young man who'll do anything to make it in the big city to impress his girl, and his famous "thrill comedies." In this case, he works as a humble clerk in a department store until his get-rich scheme turns him into a "human fly."
